Travel Tuesday

The weekend before last, we were at Sandy's. We Sandy and Greg to go with us geo-caching. We went to this charming little town that was only about 25 minutes from their house.
It was a gorgeous day, so we parked and just started walking. We geo-cached first. We were doing an adventure lab, which takes us to 5 different locations. As we strolled around we saw the most charming houses. Many of these were part of the quest.
I love all the gingerbread trim on this one.
Unfortunately, I've already forgotten the significance of this one. It doesn't look old, but it is. They all date back to the 1800's.

This is the Main Street through the town. Since it was Sunday, everything was closed. There is a really good (well, highly rated on Trip Advisor) Cajun restaurant there. It was closed too. We decided that we want to go back another time to try it.

We saw some awesome ghost advertising on the side of some of the buildings. Actually, it seemed sort of like a ghost town too! It was nice to have the whole place to ourselves.
It was a perfect way to spend a couple hours on a Sunday afternoon. Fresh air, a little exercise and a history lesson. What more could you ask for? Okay, a little ice cream shop would have been nice!
