3. I was recently telling my grands about the apartment my parents lived in with 4 of us kids. It was a 1 bedroom, shotgun style. When you entered through the front door, you were in the living room. That led into the bedroom, which led into the kitchen. We lived here until I was four, my brother was three, and the twins were two. There was a washer in the basement.
I still remember running around down there while mom did the laundry. Can you imagine all the diapers? There was no such thing as disposable diapers. She had three in diapers at the same time! Then, she hung the clothes on clotheslines just like what's shown. Man, what a lot of work! When we moved into our house, she got her first automatic washer and dryer. That had to be the biggest time saver for her. Still no dishwasher or garbage disposal yet, nor non-stick cookware. But it was a start!

4. I think this cake sounds like it would be really good AND easy! Win-win! (see there, I've already learned how to spell "win-win" correctly! Thank Grammarly!) I do love cake.
1-2-3 Cake
You need two boxes of cake mix. One can be any flavor you prefer, but the other MUST be Angel Food cake mix.
Mix them together (shake them in a big bowl).
Then simply store the mixture in an airtight container until you get the urge for dessert.
Then just put three Tbsp. of the dry mixture in a big coffee mug and stir in 2 Tbsp of water.
Microwave it for one minute and you will have a single serving of cake!
5. So true!
Let's not forget it!
I remember my mom's washer like that.
