I asked Mitchell if he could use a floor lamp. After all, we do expect him to get his own place---sometime! Soon!
I pointed it out since we have currently been using it. He said, "Nah, I don't need it." I said, "do you have ANY lamps?" He said, "yeah, a little one." Okay, he's going to regret that decision! Lighting is important! I turned right around and texted Morgan. She responded immediately, "heck yeah!" Sold! Of course she hasn't picked it up yet.
Next up was this table. The aquarium used to sit on it. I was able to convince Butch to get rid of the aquarium when his last fish suspiciously died on my watch while he was out-of-town. (Come on, seriously, even fish are a hassle if you travel a lot!) I sent the picture to all the "kids" mentioning that it would make a good bar! Now THAT, Mitchell jumped on! Somehow, I hadn't even finished the text message before he was all over it!
I offered him this light. Yep, he wanted this too! I don't know if he wants it because he's regretting the decision that he didn't take the floor lamp, or because it's vintage, or that it represents a now extinct BEER! I think we can all guess the answer there!
I didn't even ask him if he wanted these glasses---pilsners for beer and highball glasses with some liquor logo. I knew he'd want them. Turns out he does.
I told him that when he's ready to move out, I'm going to go through the kitchen cabinets. He specifically mentioned my wooden spoon and spatula drawer. Doesn't everyone have a separate drawer for these? I guess I'll be able to part with a few of the dozens I have. (Remember my multiples problem? I have it under control with cake mixes and salad dressings---maybe just not with wooden spoons and spatulas! I guess that's obvious if I need an entire drawer for them!)
That's about it for this week! Oh wait, there's this:
He's managed to get his junk that was spread out downstairs to the upstairs landing. It looks like he tossed it all there. I wonder how long before it makes it to his room? Long, I'm sure!
I think we can all imagine the style of place Mitchell is going to have when he moves out! I'm sure that vintage look will be great in his own place.
