Ten Things Thursday

Can you believe that Thanksgiving is just two weeks away? The holidays are upon us and I'm not ready!! 

I made this last year and am doing it again for this Thanksgiving. It was so easy. Make your favorite cheeseball (I roll mine in finely shredded cheese) and wrap it in saran wrap. Put four rubberbands around it and chill. When ready to serve, remove the rubberbands and add the top of a green pepper for the stem. I've never seen those cute leaf shaped crackers though.

I'm planning on making this for the family this holiday season.

Tuesday Thoughts About...

...dreams. 

I had this one right before the election.

I was working at the White House. Another girl—much younger than me—was also working. Her job was to keep an eye on the huge screen at the end of a long hall. It had a green light on it. If it started flashing red, this gal was supposed to pick up the phone on the table by us and dial a number that only she knew. She was very friendly and joking around with everyone. I have no idea what my job was, but I ended up watching the light myself as she wasn't paying any attention to it. 

When it started to flash red, I told the “ditzy” girl to dial the number. She lost it and went crazy—jumping around. Each time she jumped, she got smaller and smaller until she was just 1 inch tall and couldn't even reach the phone. I was yelling for help! That’s when Butch woke me up!

What the heck did that dream mean?

1. What was I doing at the White House anyway?
2. I take jobs seriously—even if they aren’t mine?
3. I can be the voice of reason during a crisis---but that doesn’t mean anyone will listen to me?
4. It’s time to upgrade the alarm system—after all, the phone was a 1950’s style rotary?
5. If I was there anyway, why not give me the job?

It wasn’t actually a nightmare either, It wasn’t like I was scared or anything. I just knew that something needed to be done and I was bound and determined to see it through! 

I have no idea what this dream meant, but one thing is for sure: the election was a nightmare!

Friday Frustration and then some Friday Funnies

Well, I still haven't heard back from Disney about my car keys. It seems to me that they would know exactly who they belong to since they came out of the room we were staying in. I think it means that they were sent to the big central location of all lost and found articles. I'm thinking they would have bins full of keys divided by make of cars. Perhaps I need to go back down there and check out their organization situation. I KNOW I could improve it! Can you tell I'm frustrated?

I have no idea when Mindy sent me this picture. I found it in my fall folder. Probably a couple years old. It's still pretty.

I think this looks pretty awesome. I need to check and see if my magnolia tree seed pods look this pretty. If so, I'll be doing this!
