Friday Frustration

Well, I made a comment that maybe I should be doing a "grinch" holiday album. That would be keeping it real. 

So let me go through this with you. I started this class in October. I have been loving it. Amidst it, I finally decided that I needed to replace my printer. Done. It was delivered in two days. I got it all set up and thought I was good to go. 

I haven't been 100% happy with the photos that it prints. So, I've ordered some HP photo paper. I've always been told that you should use the photo paper that is manufactured for that computer. I changed my mind about that on my last computer. The Canon paper was very "inky." I had to be careful not to handle it too much. Even then, I had to wash my hands as I smudged papers and journaling. Sooo, I bought Kodak paper. That worked great and my pictures were good. Until they weren't. All kinds of problems which is why I decided to replace it.

I've been going along, working on my project. All of a sudden, I started getting messages that the ink was running out. What? How is that possible? It's been about 5 days and I'm out of ink? Then I remember that somewhere along the line, I heard that the ink that comes with a new printer is not very much. 

Okay, I need new ink. I'm supposed to be getting 6 months of free ink with my new printer. I go to the HP website to figure out what I have to do to get my ink. I look at my account and discover that there is no subscription linked to it. So, I spend a lot of time figuring it out. A lot of time! Once I get it set up, I automatically get a message that they are sending me ink. Now, I'm used to getting my ink in 24 hours. The message that I get is that my ink is going to be delivered in about 10 business days! OH MY Gosh! That's 2 weeks!! I am so aggravated. This whole printer fiasco is holding me up. The color printing is atrocious as I one or more color cartridge is out.  

We moved the old printer to Butch's office as he has no need for color. So, I tried to go ahead and use his. It prints so badly, it's ridiculous. Now my whole project has come to a halt! I'm so frustrated. 

And that's not all...
