Ten Things Thursday

In honor of Valentine's Day tomorrow, I'm thinking red, pink, and romantic! Let's see what I found.

A pretty table setting--fresh flowers make all the difference.

How darling is this eating area?  I love the pink.

Sweet Strawberry Shortcake with her happy red and pink always reminds me of Stephanie. She was all about SS in the 70's and 80's.

All this pink--swoon! Have I ever mentioned that pink is my favorite color? It is. But again, it's the beautiful flowers that make the room. If I ever won the lottery, I would hire one of those companies that bring flowers and keep them looking perfect all the time!

I'm having a thought: I might need to add a lot of pink to my kitchen. I love this with the white.
This reminds me of an old friend. She had a collection of these "lady's heads" (what we called them). She had them on display in her dining room china cabinet. When she told me that she had let them go, I couldn't believe it. I think this particular one is so cute with the floral arrangement--which is exactly what they were meant for.

Notice that cute little doll in the center of this table? it's a napkin holder. I might have to check ebay for one. So cute.

This reminds me of our kitchen growing up. We didn't have a red floor. We didn't have red chairs. We didn't have red tile. We didn't have red counters. We didn't have a red stove. But we did have a lot of white and white curtains that Mom made with red ball fringe. It also reminds me of the "crop top" she made me with the scraps--red ball fringe and all. Believe me, I took a lot of teasing from my friends for wearing the kitchen curtains! I just said that I was emulating Scarlet O'Hara. No, I didn't. I was too little to know about her yet. But I would if I had known. I wish I had a picture wearing that top!

Oh yeah, I might need to add pink to my kitchen!

And this for last. The "rabbit hole" I fell down last week which prevented me from pre-planning for our scrapbook retreat.
More on this later.
