We had a darling, little, red-headed Irish girl named Nuala. She and Stephanie hit it off right away and she became part of the family. She brought the vase to me as a “thank you” gift from her mother for hosting her. She was such a sweetheart, the pleasure was all ours. It was so much fun to compare our differences---but the girls were definitely more alike than not---just a couple of typical teenagers. Although I have no idea whether the Ulster Project continues today, it was a great learning experience for all of us at the time.

I think I got the link fixed :) What a perfect precious to choose for this month..I wonder if I can find out if the Ukster Project still exists? I haven't heard of that one. I bet she had an absolute ball with you all..lucky girl!

ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful vase. It is a shame that the two religions often fall out. When I was living in Ireland I was one of the few people in our small town who moved in both circles. It was such a shame that there was a permanent invisible divide even though they were amicable. I wonder if the project still runs?
