AYM---Guys

The topic for AYM this month was "My Stuff." The guys were supposed to take photos of some of their prized possessions and tell a story or two about them. Butch didn't get around to doing it this month, so you won't see his. Jeanne didn't get Jim's in either. Susan had her page done, but they didn't make the meeting due to being out-of-town. I'll post those next month along with the new ones.
Hugh decided to focus on his golf stuff. Pam set up a photo shoot in her kitchen, by adorning her bakers rack (large picture on the left) with all his golf paraphernalia from all over the country. She then focused (all the little pictures) on just the hats. You can't tell it here, but his title "My Golf Stuff" is embossed, so the white letters look like golf balls.
Bruce has some really good stuff. He focused on things that go back to his parents and grandparents that he is lucky enough to have. There's a syrup pitcher next to the Steen's syrup that he grew up with that belonged to his grandmother. He has his toy soldiers and comic books from his childhood. He also took a picture of his John Deere which is one of his current favorites.
Nancy has a knack for coming up with clever titles. For Bill's page, she chose "Don't Touch My Stuff" which, apparently, is something Bill says all the time. He too has tons of keepsakes from his childhood. They have a cabinet at the top of their stairs that houses several of his collections---civil war soldiers and tin cars. He has a collection of old signs in his barn as well as a few in the laundry room. He also has some farm animals and his childhood rocker----good stuff. I love how Nancy used a slot punch to cut the holes and wove ribbon across the bottom. She added some metal, farm charms that were not part of the kit, but the perfect touch for the page.
Jack always meets my deadline. It's fun to do his pages as he's an enthusiastic participant! He also has some cool stuff. He inherited the Potter family grandfather clock that dates back to the mid-to-late 1800's. He has his "stuff" from his many tours of duty and Desert Storm. He loves his train collection. He also has an old army rifle displayed on their wall that he got from his grandmother. As far as the layout goes, I didn't really do anything all that extraordinary. I did use a border punch that also embosses across the bottom.

That's it for this month!
