A Few Things

Just a few things for your perusal.
I think there are some really good words of wisdom. I'm trying to be more generous of spirit this year. So far, I'm doing pretty good with that.
I don't keep things on top of the refrigerator since I'm much too short to reach it. I just have a couple decorations---a blue old-fashioned bread box and a scale that Margarita gave me for Christmas a couple years ago. Still, I would love to hear what y'all keep on top of yours.
Mindy gave me this specialty tea for Christmas. I knew right away that I would take it to the beach for something special. I pulled this one out one morning. It was good, but since I've never actually tasted gunpowder, I have no idea if it tasted like that. I really can't describe the flavor. It tasted sort of like pinhead (whatever the heck that is!).
I saw this table somewhere on the internet and thought it was so cute! I love the Alice in Wonderland theme with the rabbit and the clock. I might try to replicate something like this sometime. I don't think it would only have to be for Valentine's Day. Of course, I'd have to get a red tablecloth.
While at the grocery store, I came across these. I thought they were some sort of chocolate chip cake balls or cookie dough. Boy was I wrong!
I turned the package over and found they were quail eggs! I've never seen that before. I didn't know you could buy quail eggs in the grocery store. Still, I have no desire to try them.

That's it for a few things today.

  1. On a layer of dust on top of my fridge I'm afraid (I'm too short to put anything up there!)
Years ago my daughter took me to a Mad Hatters afternoon tea at The Sanderson Hotel in London - it was amazing! That photo really reminded me of it. Never heard of Gunpowder Tea before, is it so strong it will blow your tastebuds away? ;-)

  2. Usually it would be the extra bottles of Coke Zero on the top of my fridge, but we're running low, so you'd be empty-handed. I love that tablescape. I will check out that site The Painted Apron, as it sounds vaguely familiar, maybe from when there used to be a Rednesday Wednesday blog hop in the old days - 2010 ish?
