What I Buy Wednesday

Well, I'm going to have plenty to post here for the next week or so. I have so many super-sale purchases arriving.

This week, four new pairs of shoes came in! I can't remember the last time I bought 4 pairs of shoes at the same time. Different brands and three different places, but four pairs in one week. The sales were just too darn good to pass up. I bought the hiking shoes for our safari. They are waterproof just in case some animal chases me  into the water.

I've found that I also needed a pair of white/cream slingback now and then. The other two pairs--I have no good excuse! Well, except that since I lost weight, I'm back down to 7.5 in nearly 20 years. So it was easy to get rid of some of my shoes that don't quite fit anymore.

On to tops. You can never have too many tops. At least I can't. I get tired of them fairly quickly. 

These came from Macy's--another super sale. I just love this time of year. 

Sandy and Greg were in town over the weekend. On Friday, while Greg worked, Sandy, Butch and I went to lunch at the Germantown Cafe in--you guessed it--Germantown. They have the best French onion soup in town. 

Afterwards, I surprised both of them with a stop at a new store--at least I think it's new. It's called "Hey Sugar!" 

I've had it on my list for awhile to take Butch there. With Sandy in town, it seemed like the perfect time. They sell cookies and frozen custard! Yes, frozen custard. That's a St. Louis "thing," so I was so excited to try it. Years ago, there was a frozen custard place here, but it didn't last too long. I don't think people down here knew what it was. I'm a little concerned about this new place too as there weren't any people there. In St. Louis, there is always a line at the custard shops! It's the best ice cream you will ever have.
