Flood Pictures and Update

This is my friend Joanie's yard. My car was parked here yesterday when the water started to rise. The photo with the tree house is next to her driveway.

This is the entrance to our old neighborhood, Devon Park not too far from Steph's. Hwy. 100 was closed from this point.

Library damage. The floor is buckled.

Our pool.

Here are the pictures of Nancy's farm. That pile of wood you see is now gone. They had to move the cows to higher ground as their pasture was completely flooded. They had a bunch of antiques in their barn---haven't heard yet about those.

Steph and the girls made it over here around 3:45 today---still no power in her neighborhood. Bill Egbert navigated for her---over the Natchez Trace to Leiper's Fork through Old Hillsboro Rd. to here---took an hour and a half. She lives 10 minutes away, but all the roads around her are still closed.

Oh, and while all of my friends were taking these disaster pictures, Connie and I met for pedicures and lunch! That's what happens when you live on higher ground!

  1. Just put the rug back over the buckled floor and call it a day!
