I love these ideas for old windows and shutters. The chippier the better!
All of these are great ideas. Now, here's the one I made for myself years ago--maybe 20 or so. I still love it.
But beware! If you decide you want to do something with an old window, be prepared. They are very, very heavy! It needs to be well-anchored. It might be a little extra work, but it's worth it! Don't ya' thinK?
Hi new friend, I found your blog among a list of favorite blogs that our mutual friend, Deb at Deb's World, has on her blog. Found these old window projects so creative and inspirational. I had a large wooden and glass lantern that was falling apart so I saved one side of it, which looks like a multi-paned window. Haven't done anything more with it than saving it but love the way it looks. Love the idea of hanging it with a wreath suspended from it, like yours. Also saw a very cute idea with spray "snow" on the window panes and a Christmas-y swag hanging from the top of the window. Thank you for inspiring me to get that thing out and make good use of it.
I taught organizational classes for scrapbooking around the country---from organizing your space and supplies to your pictures, planning pages and getting ready for a scrapbook retreat.
15 years ago, I developed an in-depth photo organization workshop called "Making the Most of My Memories." Once the pictures were organized in a way that made it easy to access any photo at a moment's notice, "A Year of Memories" was the next natural step.
Each month, I assign a topic and provide a kit of materials. The next month each person shares their layout with the group. It's so much fun to see how everyone interprets the theme and uses the same materials---yet each layout is completely different. At the end of the year, we each have a completed album. We're on year 15 now.
