In the spring, Stephanie and Nicky had a bird's nest on top of the speaker on their front porch. They were not happy about it because the birds that visited left quite a mess--if you know what I mean. Still, they put up with it because there were eggs and then baby birds. Once the birds flew the "coop," they cleaned out the nest and cleaned up the mess.
Weeellll, it happened again!
First off, let me say--this is really beautiful. When they noticed there was another nest, Nicky got up there to take this picture to see if there were eggs in the nest. What??? We all thought that birds lay eggs just once in the spring. That was a mystery for sure. As it turns out, these eggs are from a house finch. And, they lay two sets of eggs each year!
