Travel Tuesday

Of course, I have to spend just a minute discussing Helen, GA.

 It is the cutest little town with a German flair.

Even the Hampton Inn looks like it's straight our of Bavaria. We like Hampton Inns because you always know what to expect. Also, they have a pretty darn good free breakfast--just about everything you could want.

We visited the Babyland General Hospital to see the birthplace of the Cabbage Patch dolls.

It's free to enter the hospital and museum. Of course, the gift shop takes up the most space!

We hiked up to the Anna Ruby Falls. It's beautiful. Also, I dropped off a couple rocks. by the time we descended, one of them had already been picked up!

Considering it was a holiday weekend, we didn't hit too much traffic coming home. Later in the afternoon, Butch and I sat down together to open the 50 cards from family and friends. Thanks to everyone who sent us such nice messages. That was a total surprise and we loved it. It was a perfect weekend.
