P.S. My friends were fully vaccinated. They are what is considered "breakthrough" cases---less than 2% of people that have been vaccinated get the virus. Usually those that do have very mild cases. My friends have had a difficult time--well over two weeks now. They are not yet fully recovered. The only thing we know for sure is that if they hadn't been vaccinated, they would not have survived. Please, please, please, get vaccinated for the greater good.

The incidence of vaccinated people getting the new variants is pretty high around here, but thankfully contracting the illness is not leading to so many hospitalisations so we can only assume that the vaccine is helping dampening the severity of the virus. My son in law was double jabbed and still got the virus, people mustn't assume that the vaccination gives them complete immunity.
