It's the time of year for BIG sales of designer goods. I do love a good sale. That's about the only way I can justify splurging when I don't really need anything!
A few years ago, when we were in London (at Selfridges), Stephanie introduced me to my latest, favorite designer: Kurt Geiger. I just love "his" unusual embellishment--the eagle head symbolizing strength, courage and endurance. Who wouldn't want to endorse that sentiment?
I ended up getting two new purses.
I really like this summer one. It's so lightweight--which is what I need in a crossbody bag. That's all I wear now--I like to joke that I need my hands free to break my fall! I'm careful about the dimensions to make sure all of my essentials will fit. I also want it to go with just about everything in my wardrobe.
Besides the jeweled eagle head, this is my favorite part:
If you've read me for any length of time, you know that I love sparkly, shiny things. This is the second one I bought. It's kind of hard to tell, but it's covered in Swarovski crystals. I'll use this as an evening bag. I haven't had a nice one in quite a while--ever since I had to start carrying epi-pens, I had to abandon the cute tiny ones. This one is 8" wide--still small enough for formal affairs and fancy dinners.
And then there's this:
All fine designer handbags come with a nice flannel storage bag. I don't really use them for my purses because then you have to open each one to know which is which. I actually use them for my shoes when I travel.

Have you gotten any good deals lately? Send me some pictures and I'll feature them here.
Oh, and one last thing: "Kate Spade, I haven't abandoned you! I still love you too!"
