Scrapbook Saturday

Today, I'm sharing the first few pages of my "December Daily" project. I've been loving it, but I am several days behind already--I already posted yesterday about my printing woes. 

I cut the December on the Cricut and mounted it on a pearlized vellum.

I also cut the 2025 too. The cut file came with the class. I used a background stamp and embossed it for a little extra texture and shine. I just tied on some red floss.

Next I printed a design on a transparency to make an overlay--that I copied from the transparency pack.

My reason why is the explanation of why I wanted to do this project during the Christmas season. For many years, I've watched people tackle this and wasn't really interested. The holidays are full of fun and busyness! I really don't have time for it. For the past two years, I did a regular scrapbook after Christmas and thoroughly enjoyed it. This year I decided to take the class which actually starts in October and November with the goal being--to have some base pages ready to go. Just add photos and journaling. Well, if you read my "Friday Frustration" post yesterday, you know what's happened there!

This was super fun to make in advance. I used all of those different tags to tell the stories of all the holiday related events that were actually before December. Love it.

Next up is the calendar page. As you can see, there are lots of things already planned. I've even added several more things than you see here. By the time I finish, the calendar will be nearly full.

I've done a few things on my sewing machine this week too. Shout out to my good friend, Nancy E. who taught me the easiest way to thread my sewing machine! I've changed the color twice this week!
