Welcome. The front porch is big enough to entertain on.
The windows in this house are huge.
Step in to the living room.
She had white linen Roman shades made for the entire house for a uniform look.
This is the view facing the front door. Notice the lamp on the chest. More on that later.
Make a left and you are in the kitchen. Very spacious with tons of cabinets. There is a large walk-in pantry too.
When you come in the back door, there's this little hallway to the powder room.
The powder room.
When you come up to the second floor, you are greeted Stephanie's baby chest. We bought it at a garage sale for $10.00 in 1976. Butch stripped it and refinished it. We've always used it and then let Stephanie take it. She's had it in all of her houses.
To the left of her baby chest is this large area. This side is a cozy reading area. The lamp you see here also came from a garage sale in the 1970's. I used them until Stephanie moved to Bellvue---8 years ago. My sister-in-law, Sharon bought them and sold them to me for $30--for the pair. I still love them. The other one is on the downstairs chest next to the front door. The rug was in her former kitchen and the chair came from Morgan's room.
This is the other side of the sitting room. This is Stephanie's scrapbook desk. We have all of her stuff stowed in a closet. We still need to go through all of that and get it organized. The chest contains all photo related things.
If you make a right at the top of the stairs, you first come to the laundry room. Next you enter the master suite. The master closet---really big---it extends around the corner and to the back.
The master bath.
Uh oh, she's going to need a squeegee!
When Rio hops up here, she wants a drink.
The master bedroom. To the left is the balcony.
Looking from the bed side.
The master balcony looks out over the front yard. This is Jordan's room. Notice the detail on the doors.
This is the girl's bathroom--it's a Jack and Jill style.
This is Morgan's room.
The other side of Morgan's room. This chair used to be in the master bedroom in the old house. We swapped them out here.
Climb the stairs to the third floor---the media room. Notice the "kitty" door that Butch made? It's perfect.
Another bathroom.
Here's the big screen with plenty of seating for movies.
And there you have it. I don't have pictures of the back deck. I'll share them when the landscaping is done. I met with Sara, who does my yard at 6:30 a.m. We have some big ideas! Just waiting on the "go ahead" from Stephanie.
How it is lovely, so pulled together with cohesive style. Where did that scrap desk come from - would love to have that in black?
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful. And scarily tidy!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful home, like a show home! Hoping they will be very happy in it.
