What I Buy Wednesday

I knew this would be a perfect thing to blog about. But then, time got away from me and I didn't get it done. So, here it is today.

Well, this is a crazy purchase. But first, the story. 

Years ago, I purchased dozens of stamps from Stampin' Up. My niece and sister-in-law sold them. Many of my friends invested in stamps too. We even started a "stamp club" where we got together and made hundreds of cards. We each took turns designing something and then we all made them. 

That ended--probably 20 years ago. Many of us still have a lot of stamps. I actually donated a couple shopping bags full to the art department at Overbrook School where my girls went. I kept quite a few to use in my scrapbooks. But, the truth is, I rarely have used them in my scrapbooking. 

So, fast forward to last week. I was at my new hair stylist's. She had a table set up with--you guessed it--Stampin' Up stamps. Some were new and some were used. She sold them for $2.00 a set--super bargain. I knew that I didn't need them, but I am a sucker for a good bargain! I bought 3 sets. I already put them away. But I kept this one set out because I knew that if I didn't type up the words included I would never use it. 

I would never take the time to see what words were included. 

This makes it much simpler to use. Now, I need to make using it a priority. That's when I decided that this $6.00--total-- purchase would be the perfect "What I Buy Wednesday" post! 

I'm determined to use them and then post a picture to prove it!!
