The Day Before the Big Day!

Well, we got to Charlotte last night. I don't believe I've ever traveled over a major holiday. What a ZOO! OMGosh! When we got here, we had to wait quite a while for our bags. They had about 5 flights using one baggage carousel. I don't get it. The others were all empty. What't the sense of having them if you aren't going to use them? That meant there were so many people waiting in the same area.

We got our bags and made our way out to the curb for pick-up. Sandy had been stuck in traffic within the airport---not moving---for 30 minutes. Finally, she told us to go upstairs to the "departing" area. We did. She got us.

Now we have to do this again when Mindy and Justin arrive tonight. We'll have them go upstairs immediately. Don't get me wrong, it's not like others don't know this little trick. It's still busy---and the poor people trying to catch flights are now stuck in more traffic than normal since arriving people are using their area. Sandy said she saw people just getting out of their cars and hauling their suitcases along the drive.

Still, for us, it's totally worth it. It's only a 45 minute flight. Saves 7 hours on the road! Just like that we're here!

When we got home, Greg had dinner ready. They had made Chicken Alfredo Roll-Ups. It was so delicious, but looked like a lot of work. I'm going to check out the recipe. I know myself. I won't go to so much trouble. Instead, I can just request it whenever I come here!
I love Sandy's table setting in the kitchen. I'm going to find out where the floral came from. So cute! She said she got it at Walmart a couple of years ago---pretty cheap. We like that!

Let the fun begin! Oh wait, it already has---all the way until 12:30 a.m. last night!!
